Paint chips off!

My daughter loved this teether. She enjoyed looking at the different beads and playing with the different textures. She liked biting all around the ring, even on the wings of the insects, despite looking painful to me! It was disappointing that we weren't able to keep this teether.
After a few weeks of use I noticed that paint on various parts of the teether was being scraped off from her new teeth. This means that she has swallowed paint from this teether, and I have a big problem with that! The areas I saw paint missing were the large oval with the word Nuby on it, the black spots of the lady bugs, and the body of the butterfly. According to the package information, this is to be used for pre-teething and on new teeth. It is worrisome that new teeth could scrape off paint and become ingested.

Took out of package & was sooooo happy I never handed it to my son. I dipped it in warm sudsy water & rinsed it off...as I was rinsing it off a bug's wing broke right off into my hand without any force at all. I just ran my thumb over it softly.
As I said, I'm glad that didn't end up in his mouth! FYI - it was the yellow wing off of the green bug.

******************DO NOT BUY THIS******************** one of the bugs got lodged in my 5 month old daughters mouth between the roof of her mouth and behind her bottom gums as it twisted round once in her mouth and took alot of fauce to disslodge it, it is not safe and all made should be recalled and no more made!!
so annoyed and this should of not passed checks
